Wit Chainakul, MD passed away on Nov. 14, 2024. Wit was a resident of Shawnee for 40 years. He was born in the city of Trang in Thailand on Dec. 9, 1945. He graduated from Chulalongkorn Medical School in 1970 in Bangkok, Thailand. Wit married Pachneerat in 1971 and they moved to Brooklyn, New York where he completed his internship and surgical residency. They moved to Shawnee, OK where he opened his solo private practice. He retired from his medical practice in 2012. He was a lifetime member of the Oklahoma State Medical Association.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pachneerat, son Wuti and wife, Juliane, son Weera and his wife, Nikki, and son, Wicha. Grandchildren William, Wesley, Lillien, Emalyn, Jude, Chaisee, Sirakit, Tessanee, Camilla, and Phoebe, and loving family in Thailand.
