    Tecumseh Salutatorian Biography:

    JESSY THOMA

    The son of Tony and Anita Thoma, Jessy is active in a number of clubs and organizations throughout his High School career, including science club, Academic team, National Honors Society, and Gifted and Talented.

    Jessy is also an active athlete participating in tennis every year, where he was a state qualifier, as well as cross country where he was a part of the team that qualified for state.

    Jessy also has quite a few academic achievements. Being in the top I0% and receiving the president's award all four years of high school. As well as being nominated for student-of-the-month and super savage. In addition, he is also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

    He is most proud of his accomplishments in band: being first-chair every year in the THS Savage Pride Band, as well as serving as drum major his senior year. He learned a solo and took it to state competition every year in high school and scored three Superior scores and one excellent rating. He was also an active participant in honor bands, making it into the ECOBDA All-District Honor Band every year he could as first or second chair, being a two-time participant in the OSSBDA All­-State Honor band, and first alternate for the OKMEA All-State Band.

    He plans to attend Rose State College to earn a Bachelor's degree in cyber security. After college he plans to pursue a career in cyber security protecting people's online identities and resources.

     

    Valedictorian Biographies:

    CONNER MURRAY

    The son of Chad and Amanda Murray, Conner has been active and has held officer positions in several organizations, including THS football, golf, BETA, Link Crew, NHS, Gifted and Talented, and Student Council.

    He served two years in Sharon Baptist Youth Ministries in multiple roles.

    Conner has earned many awards throughout his years of high school, including Top 10 Percent, Oklahoma High School Honors Society, The Masonic Lodge Student of Today Award, the President's Volunteer Service Award, the Billy Mitchell Award, the Jim Brown Memorial Sportsmanship Award.

    He plans to attend Oklahoma State University where he will pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a career to benefit the lives of others.

    SARAH MILLER

    The daughter of Sharon and Bobby Hibben and Kenny and April Miller, Sarah was a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, and Beta. At Gordon Cooper Technology Center, she was in National Technical Honor Society and served as a District Officer for Skills USA. Sarah was also in Powerlifting.

    Her academic honors include President's Award for Educational Excellence, Top 10% honors, THS Scholar Award, and Oklahoma High School Honor Society.

    Sarah will be attending Oklahoma State University as an Honors College student, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
