  • The Bethel Lady Wildcat senior basketball players kiss a section of their home court, which was brought to the Noble Complex at OBU, in Shawnee, on Feb. 13. Since 1999, it is tradition for Bethel High School seniors to kiss the court or home plate before they graduate. Assistant Athletic Director Jennifer Lynch announced that the section of basketball court was provided after the seniors and coaches have been through the pandemic, and their home gym has seen flooding, missed games, and a splintered floor.

    Bethel Lady Wildcats had plenty to celebrate Friday, Feb. 17, as they cruised to a 62-24 District Championship against the Okmulgee Lady Bulldogs.Lady Wildcat sophomore Josie Megehee led the charge with 23 points and joined the 1,000-point club in the process.Bethel jumped to an early lead in the first scoring, putting 29 points on the board and holding the Lady Bulldogs to zero....
