  • The Potawatomi Fire won The Basketball League National Championship on June 23 for the second year in a row, as well as being undefeated for the entire season. Team members are shown with the Fire Dance Team, Fire General Manager David Qualls, Head Coach Mark Dannhoff, TBL CEO Evelyn Magley, Magley’s mother Lillie Mae Greer, Assistant Coach Emmanuel Toney, Basketball Operations Coordinator Rashard Stringfield, and CPN Chairman John “Rocky” Barrett.

  • Ricky Artis II, a forward on the Potawatomi Fire, has a unique way of playing defense - with a smile - against the Wichita Skykings in the second game of the Central Conference Semifi nals, June 1 at FireLake Arena. Artis “tied the Fire record for most field goals without a miss (8-8),” according to potawatomifire.com. The Fire continues their winning streak of 20 games in the regular season and both games in the Semifinals. They will play in the Finals, possibly beginning today (June 6).
