At most basketball games in Pottawatomie County, you can hear the chants, the clapping, and the stomping of cheerleaders. But, up until this school year, that would only be coming from the visiting team’s cheer squad at Asher Public Schools.
The cheerleading program was approved by the APS Board of Education last year, said AHS Principal Steve Spangler.
