The Savage gridiron squad went to Newcastle for their opener in District 4A-2 play and ran directly into a buzzsaw once they took the field.
The Racers scored early and often against the Savage defense and led 48-0 before the Savages could score their only touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Newcastle is loaded with talent, and the talent runs deep in the Racers’ roster.
