The Savage Wrestlers finished off the regular dual season last Thursday with Senior Night, as they welcomed Shawnee to T-Town. A number of forfeits by the Savages and a good Wolves team led to a 55-20 loss for Tecumseh.
At 106, Shawnee’s Blayne Taber pinned Vivian Hayes in 56 seconds. Shawnee’s Bengi Cole picked up a win by forfeit at 113. At 120 the Wolves’ Kaiden Kirk took a major decision over Carter Hadsall, 164. Shawnee got another forfeit at 126-pounds for Ethan Soliz.
The Savages picked up their first points at 132 as Xavier Kommer, wrestling at 132, took a 4-0 decision over Garret Ishman in an exciting match. Christian Taylor pinned Tecumseh’s Nick White in 1:16. Then at 144, JD Sigman grabbed a 16-1 Technical Fall over Cade Carter.
The Wolves’ Sawyer Cash pinned Zander Kommer at 4:18 at 150-pounds. Two straight forfeits for Shawnee at 157 and 165 gave Jayson Chicago Herron and Jayson Hair respective wins. Tecumseh’s Jace Frazier, at 275, picked up a win by forfeit.
At 190, the Savages Hunter Hadsall pinned Trevor Thomason at 1:43. Shawnee’s Beau Shelton took an 8-2 decision over Jacob Frazier at 215. Logan Cash picked up a forfeit with no opponent at 285.
