THS Moves Into Summer Sports

    Summer vacation has begun for Tecumseh High School, but most sports keeps going through the summer with the exception for OSSAA designated dead times.

    Football season doesn’t begin until September but the preparation for games has already begun. The team has had spring practice and has already attended a camp at Cushing. Summer Pride begins on June 6th for Middle School and High School players.

    The Savages will go to Harrah every Wednesday at noon in June for some work for skill position players. The big guys up front will attend a Offensive and Defensive Linemen camp in June at Bixby.

    Fast pitch softball season starts in the dog days of August, and they’ve already started the work for the upcoming season. The Lady Savages have already completed their spring training for some competition. The fast pitch team will attend three camps in June at Choctaw, Red Oak and Tushka.

    The Savage boys’ round ballers will be busy in June beginning with this week in Earlsboro followed by weeks in Shawnee, Fort Gibson and finishing up in Edmond at University of Central Oklahoma.

    The Lady Savage basketball team is also busy this summer. The High School squad will be in the Durant Team Camp beginning yesterday (Wednesday) and will continue until June 13th. Then, the Lady Savages head to the Pauls Valley Camp June 13th through 15th. The Middle School girls’ basketballers will participate in the Latta League and the Pauls Valley Camp in June.

    Of course, most Tecumseh athletes attend Summer Pride workouts.
