Symphonic Winds and Bison Jazz Orchestra to Perform Nov. 16

Two of Oklahoma Baptist University’s top musical ensembles, the Symphonic Winds and the Bison Jazz Orchestra, will take the stage in a combined concert Tuesday evening, Nov. 16. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium.

Nineteen Grove Band Students

Nineteen Grove Band Students earned a position in the East Central Oklahoma Band Director’s Association Honor Band last week. This breaks an all-time school record for honor band recognition. Seventeen students earned chair, three earned first chair and three earned an alternate position.

Post 16 Names Bingo Hall After Air Force Veteran

Retired Air Force Master Sergeant Tom Combs is a regular at American Legion Post 16 in Shawnee. He has been so dependable that the post named their bingo hall after him a year and a half ago.
Combs said he has been to the post for meetings or to help with bingo every week for 24 years.
