The City of Shawnee, in partnership with Downey Contracting, has officially broken ground on the new Shawnee Animal Welfare Shelter. This project represents a significant step forward in enhancing animal care and welfare services for the Shawnee community. Ally Fichtner was named HOSA (Future Health Professionals) State Officer. Fichtner is a junior at NRC High School and is President of her Health Careers class at Gordon Cooper Technology Center. Ally plays both school and club volleyball, golf, cross country and track.
