Wanda June Anderson, 89, of Shawnee, OK, passed away on Mar. 30, 2026. She was born on June 30, 1936, in McLoud, Oklahoma, to Gus and Irene Hodde. Wanda devoted her life to her family. As a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker, she found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She married Virgil Anderson on Nov. 21, 1953, and together they built a life centered on family and raised six children.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son, Ron Anderson; her sisters, Jean Heath and LaDonna Ellis; her son-in-law, Butch Stanley; her stepbrother, Floyd McCoy; her grandchild, Nickie Anderson; and her great-grandchild, Tinley Anderson.
Wanda leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Molly (Sissy) Stanley; Keith and Diana Anderson; Larry and Robin Anderson; Gary and Sandra Anderson; and Troy and Rachael Anderson; her daughter-in-law, Gina Anderson; her brother, Robert and Debbie Hodde; 20 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Services were held on April 3, 2026, at Dale Cemetery under the care of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
