John Loyes Hackett, 95, passed away May 12, 2026. John was born on Oct. 15, 1930, in Trousdale, OK to William and Ola Hackett (McDonald). He was a heavy equipment operator, and owned Hackett Dozer Service for 65 years.
John is survived by his daughter, Sheila Walker; grandchildren, Felicia Brown and husband Jon, Dusty Walker and wife Megan and Cheyenne Walker; great grandchildren: Derek Brown and wife LaTara, Garrett Brown and wife Erin, Zack and Zoie Coleman-Walker and Lane Walker; great-great grandson, Rhyett Brown. He is also survived by the second love of his life, Juanita Ong; sisters, Ruth Ann Hassen-Autaubo and husband Presley and Mildred Hohmann-Metcalf.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Margie; daughter, Nancy Walker and husband Lloyd; son-in-law, Steve Walker; grandson, John Walker; brothers: Pat, Lloyd, Bill and Tommy; and sisters: Allie, Beulah and Shirley.
Services were held May 15, 2026 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with grandson, Dusty Walker and Brandon Johnson, Mission Road Church of Christ o ciating. Burial followed at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
