Gary Edward Gray, 79, of Tecumseh passed away peacefully in his home May 19, 2026. He was born July 10, 1946 in Shawnee to EJ and Flossie Gray (Moucka). He was a graduate of Shawnee High School class of 1964, marrying Dee-Anna Shields of Mc-Loud in 1968. After graduation he joined the Air Force and was employed at Tinker for three-and a-half years. He spent 10 years on Rock Island Railroad, retiring from General Motors after 30 years. During those 30 years, he spent 15 years as a Reserve Officer for Pottawatomie County Sheriff, Tecumseh Police Department, and CPN Tribal.
He is survived by his wife DeeAnna of the home; brother Ernie and wife Roxanne of TX; daughter Lori Jones and husband Lowell of Shawnee; son Matt Gray of Tecumseh; Granddaughters Ashlyn Blassingame and Mati Gray of Tecumseh; Jaime Jones and Jeana White of Roff; One grandson, Josh Jones of Roff; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Kailyn, Zoey, Kason of Tecumseh and Blakely, Rhylan, TJ, Joshua, Jameson and Jenson of Roff.
He is preceded in death by his parents EJ and Flossie Gray.
Visitation will be May 28, from 4 pm-7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Hwy 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. Services will be held May 29th at 2 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow.
