Martha Ann (Burton) Stout passed away June 22, 2026. Martha was born on April 5th, 1943, to Hobart and Ann Burton in Mineral Wells, TX. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1961. She married her lifelong partner Royce Gene Stout on Aug. 4th, 1961.
In 1983, Martha started her career at South Rock Creek. She began as a teacher’s aide and later spent years as the school’s encumbrance clerk. She retired from South Rock Creek in 2005.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Harry Price, Johnny Price, and David Burton; sister, Rose Marie and husband James Banks; and son, Kyle Gregory Stout.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Royce Stout; son, Adam Stout and wife Kelly; daughter, Ashley Sherrill and husband Brian; and daughter, Heidi Garlow and husband Jeremiah; grandchildren: Rachel and Tanner Hinch, Alex Stout, Travis and August Sherrill, Joeci and John Gilchrest, Blaedn and Mai Sherrill, Stefnie Sherrill, Izabella Sherrill, Thatcher and Josephine Garlow, and Berlin Garlow; great-grandchildren: Hildie, Annaleise, Beatrix, and Conrad.
