Johnny DeWayne Jones passed away on July 1, 2026, after a brief battle with small cell carcinoma. Johnny was born on Nov. 29, 1969, in Oklahoma City to Jimmy and Kathy Jones. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the Army and served for four years, including a deployment to Iraq during Desert Storm. After serving in the Army, he dedicated 35 years to a fulfilling career as a truck driver. Johnny met Rebecca Jones (Wootton) and they were married in 1993.
Johnny was preceded in death by his dad, Jimmy Jones. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Jones; children, Brooke Whiteside, Jesse Jones, Gracie Jones; mom, Kathy Jones; sister, Amy Jones; nephew, Kevin Brown and niece JC Jones and many other family members.
A memorial service for Johnny will be announced at a later date.
