Wayne Dibler passed away July 14, 2026. Wayne was born on Oct. 29, 1942, in Shawnee, OK, to Chester and Hazel Dibler. He attended Harrah High School before beginning a lifelong career in the grocery business. Wayne worked his way from an entry-level position to owning his own grocery store, Dibler’s IGA, after more than 40 years.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Dibler of Shawnee; his children, Tim Dibler and wife Cindy, Melanie Searcy and husband Rodney, Chad Dibler and wife Kim, and Jason Dibler and wife Keela; his brother-in-law, Curtis Watson; his sister-in-law, Debbie Bailey; along with his cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Norma Watson, Dorothy Herron, and Wanda Radford; and his brothers-in-law, Dickie Herron and Nick Radford.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on July 23, 2026, at 2 pm at Sharon Baptist Church 19002 S. Gordon Cooper Dr., Shawnee, OK. Interment will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.
