Ida Lou Morgan, born Nov. 20 1928, to Iva McGlasson and Glenn Lewis in Shawnee, OK, passed away July 28, 2026. Having been blessed with 97 years on this earth, Ida Lou certainly lived a life worth talking about. The second eldest of seven children, Ida Lou learned the importance of hard work, family, and faith. As she grew, Ida Lou held a variety of jobs, starting early on helping her parents pick cotton and eventually ending her years of thankless, tireless work with doing something she truly loved: taking care of the elderly and delivering Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all six of her brothers and sisters. Ida Lou survived being widowed by Clifford (Buck) Ewing, Willie Combs, and Virgil Morgan, the loss of her son, Charles Bobbie Ewing, and her great-grandson, Jordan Lynn Cox.

She is survived by three children: Marlene Birdwell and husband Charles of Guthrie, Retha Ann Brown of Idabel and Clifford Wayne Ewing and wife Eileen of Earlsboro; special friend, Linda Martin; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held on July 31, 2026, at Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee, OK. Following the ceremony, she was laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
