Susan Lynnae Monk passed away on Aug. 14, 2026. She was born on Oct. 18, 1962.
Susan dedicated 16 years of her career to the Internal Revenue Service before spending 20 years with the Department of Corrections, retiring in 2025.
Susan was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and saw him in concert 14 times. She was also known to be the president of the fan club for Mike Black and The Stingrays. Little House on the Prairie, which could often be found playing on her television day and night.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, John Monk, Jan Monk, brother, Terry Hill, great niece, Daisy Monk.
She is survived by: daughter, Lynnae Monk; granddaughter, Alaina Monk; sister, Donna and Rick Thornhill; nephew, Thomas and Crystal Monk; niece, Kristy and Jeremy Birkes; great nephew, J.T.Monk; great nieces, Brianna and Clay Wartchow, Kailey and Tristan Burton, Kaitlyn and Justin Sharma, Ashten and Carter Dennis; and numerous extended family and friends A celebration of life at 1 pm, Aug. 22, 2026 at Grace Community Church, 808 East Highland Street, Tecumseh, OK, with Pastor Justin Stone and Pastor Lonnie Hurst officiating. All are welcome to come. This will be a casual setting; bright colors are strongly encouraged!
