    Billy “Bill” Lawrence Devaill passed away Aug. 20, 2026. Bill was born on Nov. 21, 1945, in Oklahoma City, to Benjamin and Ruth (Davis) Devaill. Following his graduation from Capitol Hill High School, where he participated in wrestling and football, Bill proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He served honorably in Vietnam before returning home to Oklahoma after his discharge.

    Bill met the love of his life, Billie, at a local bowling alley in 1968. He worked on the assembly line at Firestone Tire before beginning a career with General Motors, where he spent more than 20 years as an assembly line worker. He retired in 1999.

    He was preceded in death by his loving wife Billie in 2018; his parents; sons, Ricky Hambay and Roger Hambay; two sisters, Beverly and Linda; and his brother, Larry.

    Those left to cherish his memory are: his daughter, Theresa White, Wylie Texas; grandchildren, Jacquie Nehl, Austin, TX, Scott and Esmeralda White, McKinney, TX; Kyla and Brandon Dunn, Wylie TX; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Paige, Bryson, Mason, Tara; and three great-great-grandchildren; special friends Robert and Sue Fellows as well as numerous extended family and friends.

    Visitation will be 9 am to 8 pm, Aug. 27, 2026, and continue through to service time. Services will be held at 10 am, Aug. 28, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, Tecumseh, OK, with Pastor Kim Lanman Faith Community Church of God, Shawnee, OK officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
