Linda Whisenhunt, 76, of Shawnee, OK, died Oct. 3, 2021, in Shawnee.
She was born July 28, 1945, to Roy and Thelma (Harmon) Adams in Tecumseh, OK. Linda was raised in
Linda was raised in Tecumseh and graduated with the class of 1963 from Harjo High School. She has been a resident of Shawnee for all of her adult life.
She married Larry Whisenhunt on August 23, 1969 at the home of Clois and Lavern Deloach in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Linda worked for the Oklahoma State Health Department in Shawnee for 26 years.
She loved fishing, traveling and her puppies.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Thelma Adams; sister, Laverne Deloach; and brother, Darrell Roy Adams.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Whisenhunt; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Noon-8 pm, Oct. 7, 2021, at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2 pm, Oct. 8, 2021, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
