Allecia Ann Edwards Packwood was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Paul’s Valley, OK, to Cleo Carl and Mabel Lorraine (Plummer) Edwards.
Allecia died Nov. 17, in OK.
Allecia grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she met the love of her life Fred. They were married in 1955 and lived in Phoenix, AZ, until 1959 when they moved back to Shawnee.
She was a member of First Baptist Church where she spent many years nurturing 4-year-olds in Sunday School. In later years her Ladies Sunday School class was very important to her, and she enjoyed fellowship with them.
She was a substitute teacher and worked at several pharmacies and gift shops.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fredrick Packwood; and an infant brother.
Allecia is survived by her sister, Marie Flurry, and husband, Bill of Sullivan, Mo; son, Lynn Packwood, and wife, Donna; daughter, Lori Packwood Haynie, and husband, Brad; son, James Packwood, and wife, Rochelle; and son, Carl Packwood, and wife, Cindy; six grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services were held Nov. 20, 2021, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Paul Calmes officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
