Ben Van Schuyver, 90, lifelong resident of Wanette, OK, died March 17, 2022, at his home.
He was born May 22, 1931, to Theron and Ruth (Roberts) Van Schuyver in Chisholm, OK.
Ben married Jimmie Van Schuyver Aug. 15, 1985 in Ada, OK.
Ben was a cattle rancher his whole life. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, playing dominoes and playing hide the thimble.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jane Van Schuyver, May 21, 1984; his daughter, Judy Van Schuyver; parents, Theron and Ruth Van Schuyver; sister, Hazel Van Schuyver Stafford; and brothers, Troy, Stanley and Alfred Van Schuyver.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Van Schuyver; daughter, Virginia Edgar of Gainesville, GA; three sons, Gary Van Schuyver of Wanette, OK, Michael Van Schuyver of Wanette, OK and John Van Schuyver of Conroe, TX; brother, Allen Van Schuyver of Wanette, OK; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three greatgreat grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Services were held March 21, 2022, at Wanette Cemetery Chapel with Jim Martin officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
