Bobby Leon Denney passed away August 12, 2022.
He was born January 25, 1934 to Jesse Lilburn Leon and Pearl (Cook) Denney near Prague, Oklahoma. Bobby attended Garden Grove Elementary School and graduated from Centerview High School in 1952. After graduating, Bobby began working at Tinker Field.
On December 19,1954 he married Betty Lou Clemence. They made their home in the Garden Grove community. Shortly after marrying, Betty and Bobby went to work with Betty’s Dad on the family farm, later establishing Sunbelt Sod Farm.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Lilburn and Pearl, his sisters Reba Nichols and Freda Lyday, his mother and father-inlaw, Vernon and Estelle, and nephew Mike Nichols.
He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Charmé and son-in-law Donnie McCabe, granddaughters Rebekah and Jhonny Forneris, Amanda and Mark Camren, Kelli and Jason Watkins, ten great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and four nieces.
Services were held August 16, 2022 at the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Brother Matt Raines and assisted by Jason Watkins.
