Stephen Paul Thorpe

Stephen Paul Thorpe passed away Nov. 24, 2022.

Stephen was born to Franklin Thorpe, Sr. and Patricia Lorentz on Dec. 4, 1966, in Lawrence, KS. He attended Haskell Indian Nations University and worked at the University of Kansas as a maintenance technician.

Stephen is survived by his wife Roberta (Tiny) Kaye and their son, Patric Thorpe and daughter, Tara Mitchell, grandchildren, Massko Young, Wabsia Young, and Cora Young, sisters, Gloria Thorpe, Mary Thorpe Soyez (Steve), and brothers, Jeffery Thorpe, Webster Thorpe, Franklin Thorpe, Jr., and Norman Thorpe.

Services were held at the Horseshoe Bend Community Center Dec. 1, 2022. Following the ceremony, Stephen was laid to rest at Johnson Cemetery northeast of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
