Willie Ray Gibson passed away December 11, 2022.
He was born December 14, 1955 to Isaac and Loucetta (Blanchard) Gibson, Sr. in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Willie graduated in 1975 from Noble High School.
He married Goldie Huff and she preceded him in death in February, 2019.
Wi l l i e p ro u d l y served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
He worked in pipeline repair and replacement in construction as a heavy equipment operator.
Willie was a proud member of Absentee Shawnee Tribe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Loucetta Gibson, Sr.; his wife, Goldie Gibson; and sister, Janice Davis.
Willie is survived by two sisters, Norma Gibson of Little, Axe and Donna Warrior of Norman; two brothers, Isaac Gibson, Jr. of Little Axe and Ron Gibson of Little Axe; many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Tribal Rites were held December 13, 2022 at Absentee Shawnee Tribe Community Center in Little Axe with George Blanchard officiating. Burial services were held December 14, 2022 at Absentee Shawnee Tribe Burial Grounds in Little Axe under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
