Charlotte (Kieffer) Forrester passed away Sept. 9, 2025. Charlotte was born on Nov. 7, 1944 in Skagg City, southeast of Tecumseh, OK, to Lester Boone Kieffer and Ruth Elizabeth (James) Kieffer. Charlotte graduated from Tecumseh Public Schools in 1962.
As a teenager, Charlotte began working at Morgan’s Pharmacy in Tecumseh where she met the love of her life Floyd Forrester. The two were married on Oct. 21, 1961. She worked at OG&E from 1974-1984. She then served as the secretary at Tecumseh Middle School from 1984-1987. In 1988, she returned to OG&E, where she remained until her retirement in 1999. She took pride in being crowned Basketball Homecoming Queen as a Freshman in 1959 and being crowned Frontier Days Sweetheart 60 years later in 2019.
Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, of 25 years; her parents Lester Boone Kieffer and Ruth Elizabeth James Kieffer; and her motherin- law Gladys Ethel Osborn Forrester. Brothers James Kieffer, Floyd Kieffer, and Gary Kieffer; sisters Irene Latham, Colleen Stover, and Patsy Montgomery; brothers-in-law Bill Latham and Keith Stover.
Charlotte is survived by her children and their spouses: Sherri Eager (Robin) of Tecumseh, OK; Dwayne Forrester (Tracey) of Tecumseh, OK; Lori Qualls (Tracey) of Bella Vista, AR; 11 Grandchildren and their spouses and 11 Great Grandchildren; brother-in-law: Otho Montgomery and sisters-in-law; Anona Kieffer and Beverly Kieffer. Karen Donaldson (Robby) of Rockport, TX, a lifelong family friend who was embraced as one of her own.
Services were held Sept. 13, 2025 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins and Reverend Jerry Kuhn officiating. There will be no graveside service.
