William Douglas “Doug” Benard passed away on Nov. 16, 2025. Doug was born on March 4, 1964.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Flo Benard; sisters Pam Wilmuth and Gayle Woods; and his beloved son, Cameron Benard.
Doug is survived by a large and loving family: siblings Rusty Benard, Debbie Gorman, Byron Benard, Patricia Walls, Todd Benard, George Benard, Rolynda Gibson-Bailey, and Christine Turner; children Zach Benard and wife Eden, Tristan Benard and fiancé Jordan, Greyson Benard, Kaden Benard and fiancé Betty, and daughter Lilly Primrose Benard; grandchildren Liam Benard, Ryker Benard, Addison Benard, Keagan Benard, and Ace LaForce; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry forward his legacy of warmth and humor.
Doug’s days were brightened by the constant companionship of Rose, his spirited Jack Russell terrier, who rarely left his side.
Services were held Nov. 21, 2025 at Life.Church Shawnee, with Pastor Trevor Williams officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
