James “Jim” Dale Cross passed away on Nov. 29, 2025. He was born on Oct. 3, 1941, in Okemah, OK, to Charles and Jewel Cross. Jim proudly served as a Corpsman in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1965. He then spent 28 years with General Motors. On August 17, 1963, Jim married Vivian Lee (Donaldson).
Jim is survived by his daughters: Carol Lynn Averitt and husband Wendell of Norman, OK and Kelly Jean Ward and husband Andy of Enid, OK; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog and companion, Nugget.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Michael; his brother Ken; and his sisters Helen, Billie, Pat, Glenda, and Edith.
Services were held on Dec. 6, 2025. Committal followed at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, OK.
