Arba Thomas Jett passed away Aug. 16, 2025. He was born on Nov. 22, 1936, in Paden, OK to Aaron Abednego Jett and Irene Dona (Hanna) Jett. A.T. married Miriam Loretta (Worley) Jett on Jan. 29, 1958, in Fresno, CA.
A.T. was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings: Andrew, Nathan, Paul, Glenn, and two infants; one daughter-in-law: Kirbie Lynn Jett, and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, of 67 years; his four children and their spouses: Arba Jett and Lori of Vian, OK; Loretta Parks and Roger of Cunningham, KY; Anna Stewart and Allen of Sallisaw, OK; Dwayne Jett of Vian, OK; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; his three brothers: Kenneth Jett of Denton, TX; John Jett of Waxahachie, TX; David Jett of Tecumseh, OK; and four sisters: Nancy Griffin of Midwest City, OK; Wanda Bristow of Shawnee, OK; Carol Quinality of Prague, OK; and Mary Beauford of Seminole, OK. A visitation for Arba will be held on Aug. 21, from 4 - 7 pm at the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services located at 463505 Highway 101, Sallisaw, OK. Services will be held at the Calvary Temple Church in Sallisaw on Aug. 22 at 1 pm. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, OK.
