Barbara Ann Evans passed away June 29, 2026. Barbara was born on Oct. 1, 1944, in Lancaster, CA., to Paul H. Hopkins and Geneva Bell (Plaster) Hopkins. She graduated from Bethel High School in 1962.
On June 14, 1963, Barbara married Bill, at New Hope Baptist Church. Barbara began her career as a beautician, working in downtown Shawnee before opening her own shop, where she dedicated over a decade to serving her community. In addition, she owned and managed several local businesses, including Bucks Western Wear in Tecumseh and The Beadery Plus in Shawnee.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and her two stepbrothers, Paul Howard Hopkins and Jimmy Hopkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 63 years, Bill; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kami and Clark Baker, and Shelli and Kevin Hall; her son and daughter-inlaw, Mike and Tricia Evans; five grandchildren: Tanna Horton and spouse Chase, Kaci Copus and spouse Shakotah, Parker Hall, Connor Hall and spouse Jennifer, and Rylee Evans; and eight great-grandchildren: Koltyn, Luca, Kaison, Josie, Brighton, Lorrie Darlin, Coulson and Cael.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on July 6, 2026, at Sharon Baptist Church, with Reverend
