Boyce “Cap” Charles McCormick passed away on Feb. 24, 2026. He was born in Fittstown, OK, on Sept. 28, 1940, to Charles Wesley McCormick and Minnie Frances (Thompson) McCormick.
After high school graduation, Boyce served in the U.S. Navy. He married Frances Louise Hollis on Nov. 28, 1960, in Bakersfield, CA.
Boyce was preceded in death by his wife; grandson, John Gokey Jr.; his parents; siblings: Troy McCormick, Floy Kelley, Loy McCormick, Lois Kelley, Clois McCormick, Joyce Stephens, Floyce Howard, Royce McCormick, Choyce Mc-Cormick and Cloy McCormick (infant sister).
Loving survivors are his daughter, Judy Gokey (John); son, Wesley Charles McCormick (Lora); granddaughter, Kyra Hawkins (Austin); grandsons: Joe Gokey, Wesley McCormick II (Heather) and Bo McCormick (Bree); great grandchildren: Scottlynn, Brianna, Adin, Kylei, Keaton, Remi, Oaklee, Maddox, Macen, Maveryk, Liam and Oakley.
Honoring Boyce’s wishes, there will not be a service or memorial.
