Longtime Shawnee resident Carolyn Patrice Trace died peacefully at her home Oct. 22, 2021.
The daughter of Charles W. and Charlotte P. (Camera) Trace, Carolyn was born Sept. 11, 1962 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Carolyn and her family moved to Shawnee, OK, early in her life and thus Shawnee became her lifelong home. She would attend Shawnee schools and would graduate from Shawnee High School. Carolyn deeply loved her family and her four-legged friends. When able she attended St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her four brothers, Charles Trace, Chris Trace, Clifford Trace and wife Sherry and Craig Trace; one sister, Cheryl Trace; three nephews; two nieces; her beloved dogs Bella Jo, Daisey Jo and Cloe Mae; and other family members and friends.
A graveside service to honor Carolyn’s life will be held 2 pm Nov. 1, 2021, at the pavilion at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, OK.
