Delores Pauline Walter passed away Jan. 30, 2026. Delores was born on Feb. 23, 1942 in Shawnee, OK. She was the daughter of L.C. and Inez Rackley. She graduated from Shawnee High School. After High School she married Charles Boland. On June 23, 2001, Delores married James Walter.
She was a member of SAM’s Club (Senior Adult Ministry) and was a shining example of the virtuous woman. She loved to take her grandchildren to Branson. She spent time with her sister in a catering business.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.C. and Inez Rackley; and by a sister, Ann Boland.
She is survived by her husband, James Walter; son, Kendall and wife Cathy of Shawnee; son, Jeff Boland of the home; sister, Ruby Ellis of Little, OK; grandson, Kevin Boland and wife Stormi; granddaughter, Carolyn Boland; nephews: Jack Boland and wife Ramona, Darrin Boland and wife Carolyn and Roger Parrish; niece, Julie Patton and husband Noel; and grandson Taylor Washburn; great granddaughter, Hope; two great grandsons: Isaac and Eric; numerous others.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on February 5, 2026 at ONE Church, 2110 W Washington, in Tecumseh, OK with Bro. Ronnie Churchwell officiating, assisted by Fred Owens, and Doug Parker. Burial will follow immediately at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group.
