Donna Sue Jones, 65, of Newalla, OK, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 12, 2022, at her home.
She was born Mar. 7, 1957, to Billie Gene and Oleta Melton in OK City, OK.
Donna was raised in the McLoud area and attended McLoud Public Schools. She graduated with the class of 1975 from McLoud High School.
She married Keith Jones on Dec. 2, 1974, in Gainesville, Texas. After marriage, they moved to Little Axe where they have lived the last 42 years.
Donna was secretary for her family’s business 4J Foundation Company.
She enjoyed gardening, going camping to cook for her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billie Melton; mother-in-law, Ruth Jones; and her brother, Timmy Melton.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Keith Jones, of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bryan Jones of Shawnee, OK and Brock and Holli Jones of Tupelo, OK; one daughter and one son-in-law, Misti and Terry Miller of Norman, OK; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyle, Tyler, Rowdy, Gracie and Raylee; one greatgrandchild, Channie; her mother, Oleta Melton; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lanie Melton of Shawnee, OK; father-in-law, Earl Jones; sister-in-law, Pam Jones; brother-in-law, Leith Jones; and other extended family and friends.
Services were held Friday, Apr. 15, 2022, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Butch Hodge officiating. Burial followed at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
