Edward Lee Smith, 76, of Macomb, OK, died Aug. 29, 2021, in Oklahoma City, OK.

He was born March 25, 1945, in Shawnee, OK, to Edward and Wanda Lee (Reed) Smith.

Edward grew up in Oklahoma and lived many different places while in the military. He has been a Macomb resident for 34 years.

He attended school at Jackson Jr. High and Capitol Hill High School.

Edward was married to Cora Smith until her passing on Sept. 3, 2015.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 12 years. He then went to work for the State of Oklahoma Department of Transportation until his retirement.

Edward loved fishing, farming, working cows and loved animals. He enjoyed being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers, Cecil Smith, Dewayne Weatherford and Milton Smith; and sister, Shirley Ann Quintana.

Edward is survived by his brother, Wade and Thersa Smith of Macomb; sister, Donita Smith of Norman; daughters, Syvonna and Kevin Davis of Duncan, and Mariah Smith of Newalla; two sons, Tony Smith and Candy Sheesley of Oklahoma City, and Eddie Lee Smith, Jr. of Lawton; numerous grandkids and great-grandkids; dear friend, Anita Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be 11 am, Nov. 20, 2021, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
