Bethel resident Emma J. (Bivings) White, 84, died Dec. 10, 2021.
White was born Dec. 4 1937 in Idabel, OK, to Cleveland J. Bivings and Gladys (Frazier) Bivings.
She grew up on her daddy’s small farm in Idabel picking cotton with all her siblings until she married Thomas L. White on March 19, 1954.
She raised a family for over 50 years in the Shawnee area. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Shawnee.
Survivors include her two sons, and daughters-in-law, Len and Denise White of Shawnee, Betty White of Macomb, and Tommy and Cindy White of Shawnee; nine grandkids; 26 greatgrandkids; seven great great-grandkids; sisters, Dorothy Free, Glenda Thompson from Idabel, OK; and brother Calvin Bivings of Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband Thomas White; and son, Rickie White; sisters Erma Franks, Ina Robins; and brothers JR Bivings, KD Bivings.
Services were held Dec. 16, 2021, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
