Esther Marie Howard passed away on Oct. 5, 2026. She was born on Sept. 30, 1940, in Laverne, OK to Emery and Reba Howard (Dull). She graduated from Laverne High School. In her early years, she was a florist and then attended college at Oklahoma Community College (OCCC) and received her associate degree and became an Occupational Therapist.
She is survived by her three children: daughter Tanya and husband, Paul Smith of Spencer, OK; daughter, Sheila Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Michael McIver of Shawnee, OK; grandchildren: Shannon Theiss and her husband Benny, Teresa Smith and her husband Paul, Kristen Denise and her spouse Tara, and Shelly Kjar and her husband Jacob, and Briar Bomar and his wife Heather, Raven McIver, Chase McIver and his wife Maliyah; sister, Tammy Baird and her husband, Rusty; and brother, Jim Howard and his wife, JoAnn.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Bill Howard and Don Howard.
In accordance with Esther’s wishes, no formal funeral or memorial service will be held. Her family invites you to remember her in your own private thoughts and prayers.
