Flora Jean (Baker) Gay, 91, passed away Dec. 21, 2025. Jean was born to Jesus Botello and Florence Drake Botello on Nov. 11, 1934, in English WV. She was a nurse of 25 years on the oncology floor of the Presbyterian Hospital and was a natural gifted care giver. Even after retiring, she continued to care for the sick voluntarily and especially those passing from this life…giving all she had for their comfort and care. She married Richard Gay on April 23, 2021 in Shawnee at the Living Love Church.
Jean is survived by her children; Kathy Jean Stucky, Tecumseh OK, Ken Ray Baker, Sacramento CA and Janice Marie Wade, Shawnee, OK; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George Lee Baker; one son, Allen Drake Baker; two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held Dec. 27, 2025, from 9 am to 5 pm continuing thru service time. Service will be held at 2 pm Dec. 29, 2025, at Living Love Christian Center, Shawnee, OK with Pastor Mark Guinn officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh OK.
