Freddie (Fred) Joe Standing,75, resident of Jones, OK, died Nov. 26, 2021. Fred was born July 18, 1946, in Lawton, OK, to the late Orin June Standing and Thelma Warden Standing of Gracemont, OK.
Fred is a member of the Wichita and Affiliated Nation of Oklahoma and a Snow Clan member with the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma.
Fred graduated from Gracemont High School, then attended the University of Central Oklahoma before being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era. While attending the University of Central Oklahoma Fred met the love of his life Linda Sue Standing. They were married at Rock Springs Indian Baptist Church in Gracemont, OK in 1967.
Wake services were Nov. 29, at the Standing Family residence. Burial was Nov. 30, at the Standing Family Cemetery in Jones, OK.
