    Gaila Marie Gaines-Talton passed away Nov. 30, 2025. Gaila was born on Oct. 13, 1965, in Shawnee, OK, to Douglas Hart and Rose Mary Gaines. She married the love of her life, Gregory Talton, on Sept. 5, 2009.

    A dedicated learner, she earned her associate’s degree in accounting and later attended Gordon Cooper Technology Center to pursue her real estate license.

    Hardworking, compassionate, and full of light, Gaila devoted her life to serving others. She worked in the hospital where she took patient orders, delivered meals, and supported the front line with her trademark kindness. Gaila was passionate about everything she did. She volunteered with Gateway and participated in numerous community services—always offering a helping hand wherever it was needed. Whether through Zumba, her volunteer work, or her daily life, she made it her mission to brighten every room she entered.

    Raised in church from childhood, Gaila’s faith remained a guiding force throughout her life. Her belief in the Lord only grew stronger as she got older. She faithfully served her church community, volunteering in any way she could. If something needed to be done, Gaila made herself available—always putting others before herself.

    Gaila is proceeded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Gaines; niece Chevella Gaines and a hosts of uncles, aunts and cousins.

    She is survived by her loving husband Gregory Talton; daughter and husband, Ra’Shonna Talton ,Matthew Mannon and granddaughter Andre’Yah Talton, Shawnee OK; grandson, Traydon Mannon, Norman OK; daughter Diamond Jackson and grandson De’Andra Jackson; granddaughters Dezire Jackson, Za’Nya Martin, Trea’Zure Martin, Wewoka OK; siblings Patricia Carson of Oklahoma City, OK, James Etta Wilson of Oklahoma City, OK, John Gaines, KY, Archie Gaines, Tecumseh, OK, David Gaines, Oklahoma City, OK; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Visitation will be from 9 am - 8pm, Dec. 11, 2025, and continue through service time. Services will be 11am, Dec. 12, 2025, at Sharon Baptist Church, Tecumseh, OK. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
