Gerald “Jerry” Bolles, 84, of Macomb, OK, passed away May 25, 2022, at his home.
He was born May 23, 1938, to Louis Harvey and Mary Madeline (Madry) Bolles in Fort Worth, Texas.
Jerry graduated from Lanarie Catholic High School and received his BA degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in 1999.
He married Sylvia Kay Hogrebe on September 3, 1965, in Midwest City, OK.
Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and Texas Air National Guard and was honorably discharged.
He worked in the insurance industry as a financial adviser.
Jerry was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Shawnee, OK.
He loved to play the piano, enjoyed gardening, working with his tractor, spending time with his family, and always having the last word.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Madeline Bolles; grandson, Gary Allen Bolles; sister, Gail Pickle; and brother, Marty Bolles.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 ½ years, Sylvia Kay Bolles of the home; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Keith and Shelly Bolles of Pink, OK, and Kevin and Kristi Bolles of Jenks, OK; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Cindy and Terry Lewis of Midwest City, OK and Chris and Bobby Shepherd of Noble, OK; one brother, Greg Bolles of Weatherford, TX; two sisters, Jan Young of Lake Worth, TX and Paula Carpenter of Mansfield, TX; 14 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Services were held Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Shawnee, with Reverend Doctor Tiffany Nagel Monroe officiating. Burial followed at Prairie View Cemetery in Macomb, OK, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
