Geri Goodnight, 76, of Tecumseh, OK, died Oct. 11, 2021, in Tecumseh.
She was born March 1, 1945, to Earl and Lois (Tucker) Cook in Shawnee, OK.
Geri was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Public Schools. She lived in Texas, Kansas and Arkansas, before returning back to Oklahoma and settling in Tecumseh.
She married Floyd Goodnight Oct. 24, 1978, in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death Aug. 12, 2005.
In her free time Geri loved to sew. She would quilt for hours. She was also a member of the Quilt Guild where she had many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Phil Barnes; and her parents, Earl and Lois Cook.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jack Reece of Tecumseh, OK; granddaughter, Tandie Scallorn of Shawnee, OK; two great-grandchildren, Lane Scallorn and Piper Scallorn; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Judy Cook of Shawnee; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation was Noon-8 pm, Oct. 13, 2021 and continued through service time. Service will be at 10 am, Oct. 14, 2021, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
