Gladys “Sugar” Tiger, age 68, of Kellyville, OK passed away July 29, 2026. She was born on Sept. 7, 1957, in Pawnee, OK, to Cecil and Geneva Wilson. Gladys graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1975. She continued her education at East Central College and later attended Tulsa Junior College, where she earned her degree as a paralegal.
A proud member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe, Gladys cherished her Native heritage and carried great pride in her family’s traditions and culture throughout her life.
Gladys married Danny Tiger in 1977. Gladys enjoyed a successful career, working more than 10 years in the insurance industry before beginning another chapter with Girl Scouts of America in Tulsa, where she served for more than a decade before retiring.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Dwayne Mack and Alvin Wilson; her sister-in-law, Diana Wilson; and her brothers-inlaw, Steve Colungo and Ben Tiger.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Danny Tiger; her sons, Anthony Tiger and wife Donna, and Christopher Tiger and wife Wahlayah; her granddaughter, Kaniyah Tiger, and her husband, Jaylon Thetford; her sisters, Mary Tiger and Wilma Colungo; her brothers, Melvin Wilson, Calvin Wilson and wife Annette, and Marvin Wilson and wife Carol; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and church family.
Services were held on July 31, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, Tecumseh, OK, with Rev. Truett John and Chris Tiger officiating. Burial followed at the Wilson Family Cemetery, Shawnee, OK, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
