Henry Allen Carte passed away Aug. 12, 2025. Henry was born in Oklahoma City, OK on June 11, 1954 to Henry and Geraldine “Jerry” (Week) Carter. He was raised in Blanchard and Texas. In 1973, he married Pam. Henry began his drywall career working with his mom and dad in the family business. He worked in Missouri, Oregon, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. Later his grandsons joined him in carrying on the family business.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kerry James Carter; brothers, Lonnie and Jerry Carter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years; son and daughter-in-law Keith and Kim Carter, Lawton OK; daughter-in-law and spouse Eva and Tracy Holden, Joplin MO; sisters, Berdina Richardson, Norman OK, Barbara Carter and Pam Millican, Oklahoma City, OK, Brenda Lay, Bridge Creek OK, Beverly Carter, Ponca City OK, Braunita Sue Keeling, Lexington OK, Belva Carter-Mann and Ron Mann, Bridge Creek, OK, Brecinda Robertson, Bridge Creek OK; grandchildren Allen Carter, Kaitlyn Carter, Kelton Carter; Kerra and Dakota Bohn, Lauren Holden, Brooke Holden, Blaire Holden, Trey and Melita Holden, Trevor and Reagan Holden,; and other loving family and friends.
Services were held Aug. 16, 2025, at Sharon Baptist Church with Pastor Terri Nail and Reverend Tracy Holden officiating. Burial followed at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
