Jackie D. McLin, 83, of Tecumseh, OK, died Saturday, Nov. 20, at his home.
He was born Feb. 9, 1938, to Dewey and Frances (Holmes) McLin in OK.
Jackie was raised near Macomb in what was known as the Barnette Mission Community. He attended Macomb Public Schools.
He moved to Oklahoma City where he met his future wife, Sharon Louise Wise. They were married on Feb. 12, 1966, in Juarez, Mexico, on a sightseeing trip. They made their home in Oklahoma City until moving to the Pink area 36 years ago.
Jackie was the best diesel mechanic in the State of Oklahoma and could fix anything with a motor. He owned and operated Jack’s Diesel Repair in south Oklahoma City and Tecumseh Furniture Store for several years. He loved playing music, especially bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jackie Allen McLin; daughter, Donna Marie McLin; parents, Dewey and Frances McLin; and four brothers, Dewey, Leonard, Ronny and Carl.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon McLin; one sister, Ruth Coursey of Yukon, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Service was held Nov. 24, 2021, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
