Jeffrey, “Jeff” “Big Chief” Wayne Barnett passed away December 16, 2022.
He was born March 7, 1970 to Gerald Barnett and Carolyn Phelps Parks in Shawnee, OK.
Jeff graduated from Tecumseh High School with the Class of 1988 where he met Elizabeth Ann Moore. They were married July 31, 1992.
Jeff first received an Associate’s Degree from Seminole State College. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Nazarene University in Organizational Leadership. He worked for Chesapeake for many years, as well as Fred Jones Re-Manufacturing and Tecumseh Public Schools. Most recently Jeff was the owner and operator of Randy’s Tire Alignment and Auto Care in Shawnee where he proudly worked with his son, Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and two children, waiting for him in heaven.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Elizabeth Barnett of the home; two daughters, Tahnee Elizabeth and Taryn Raylee Barnett of the home; one son and daughter in law, Taylor Wayne and Morgan Barnett of Shawnee; two grandchildren, Charlie Ray Barnett and Grady Wayne Barnett of Shawnee; mother, Carolyn Parks of Tecumseh; father, Gerald Barnett and wife Dorothy; sister and brother-in–law, Kimberly and Scott Baugh of Alva, OK; nephew, Brady Baugh, Jones; niece, Kathryn Baugh of Hardtner, KS; mother and father-inlaw, Dick and Frances Moore of Tecumseh; brother-in-law, Richard Moore of Tecumseh; best friend, “Uncle” Todd Wilson and family of Tecumseh; and numerous other family and friends.
Services were held December 21, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church in Shawnee with Reverend David Holland officiating. Burial followed at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
