Jerry Luther Ashley passed away Oct. 29, 2025. Jerry was born on Feb. 2, 1939 in Seminole, OK to Luther and Doris (Critchfield) Ashley. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1957. He married Georgia Gail Gandy on April 19, 1958, celebrating 51 years before her passing in 2009.
Survivors include his son Marty Ashley and wife Fay of McLoud, brother Jimmy Ashley and wife Donna Kay of Stratford, OK, grandchildren: Jerry Raymond Birkes and wife Tiffany of Moore. Jeremy Birkes and wife Kristy of Meeker. Kristie Greb and husband Daniel of Del City. Jeremy Hunter of Prague. Aaron Ashley of Meeker. Amanda Ashley of Crump, TN. and Robyn Ashley of Tecumseh. Great grandchildren: Addison Birkes, Ronan Birkes, Charlie Greb, Max Greb, Violet Greb, Gage Hunter, Dustin Hunter, Hadley Johnson, Derek McCathern, Iziah Ashley, Sereniti Ashley, Learsi Ashley, and Aria Stafford.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Georgia, daughter Cindy Smith, son Ricky Ashley, grandson Adam Ashley as well as his siblings Billy Bob Ashley and Jackie Lou Long.
A graveside ceremony was held on Nov. 5, 2025 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
