Jesse “Jess” Glenn, age 89, passed away on Feb. 18, 2026. Jess was born on Jan. 26, 1937, in Avoka Township—now known as Asher, OK, to Elmer Glenn and Athie Alma Dowd. He attended school in Asher through the eighth grade before answering the call to serve his country in the United States Army. After completing his time of enlistment, he began a long and faithful career as a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base, where he worked diligently until his retirement. On May 6, 1966, Jess married Lucy Lee Yott.
Jess is survived by his beloved wife; his children: Beth Cullen and husband Lance of Minco, OK, Jesse Gene Glenn of OK, Anita Decker and husband Dan of Harrah, OK, and sister Donna Holland of Oklahoma City, OK.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: Aubrey Glenn of Sacramento, CA, Billy Jo Glenn of Moore, OK, and Wesley Glenn of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Audrey Nona of Shawnee, OK; five grandchildren: Amanda Burris, Savannah McCarthy, Christina Griffin, Kristian Decker, and Karsyn Decker; and four great-grandchildren: Cheyanne and Kenleigh Batt, Jasper and Zane Griffin.
