JoElla Thomas passed away June 30, 2026. JoElla was born on Oct. 28, 1951, in Fort Sill, OK, to Delmar and Avis (Smith) Maranell. After graduating high school, JoElla attended Seminole Junior College. She built a career as a talented seamstress, working at several exclusive men’s stores and bridal shops. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cindy Robinson.
JoElla is survived by her husband, Garry Thomas; children: Jennifer Thomas, Jack Thomas, Patrick Thomas, and Mathew Thomas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her brothers, Danny Maranell and Terrance Maranell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
A graveside service was held July 6, 2026, at Tecumseh Cemetery, with Garry Thomas officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
