Michael L. Stacy passed away July 25, 2026. Michael was born on June 30, 1956, in Wichita, KS, to Viva Stacy. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1975 before attending T & I Vocational School, where he studied welding. His dedication to his trade led him to a career as a welder at Tinker Air Force Base.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Viva Stacy; his wife, Carolyn Stacy; his sister, Sally Hunter; and his grandparents, Alvin and Pearl Montgomery.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Neeka Stacy; stepchildren, Kelly Liddell and her partner Jan Stone, Kim Scalf, and Carlene Barnett; his grandchildren, Leann Stacy, Everett Deaton, Ava Morey, Timothy Butler, Kalyn Cavalier, Chase Cavalier, and Brandon Scalf; his great-grandchildren, Reese Avery Scalf, Riley Verolun, Trinity Butler, Faith Broomfield and husband Jay Broomfield, Barrett Butler, Connor Cavalier and Penelope Cavalier; his siblings, Charles R. Stacy and wife Gayle Stacy, Jim Stacy, and Randy Stacy; his brother-in-law, Danny Hunter; sister-in-law, Sandy Duncan and husband Clay Duncan; nieces, Hannah Stacy, Sydney Stacy, Allison Hunter, Tiffany Spaulding and her husband Matt Spaulding, Taylor Cochrane and husband Justin Cochrane, Faith Stacy and Hannah Stacy; nephew, Caleb Stacy; great nieces, Harper Yonannan and Charlie Cochrane; great nephews, Bentley Yonannan and Hudson Cochrane; and Mychelle Peaker, whom he considered extended family; and numerous other extended family members, and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Aug. 7, 2026, at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel.
